Russia’s Duma approves 3-yr ban on small business tax checks
MOSCOW, Jul 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s State Duma, the parliament’s lower house, on Wednesday approved in the second and third, last reading a bill that suspends tax inspections of small businesses from January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2018.
The moratorium does not cover fire, ecological, radiological and other checks.
The draft also introduces the idea of a risk-oriented approach for control over companies, which sets the intensity of inspections based on a business’ danger category. The Russian government will define the categories later.
To become law, the draft must be further signed by the Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house, and later signed by President Vladimir Putin.
